This website is an homage to my love affair with birds and music.  Birds inspire me with their endless shapes and colors, and they feel the way music feels: other worldly, spiritual, magical, full of emotion. And, I love the way music looks as it was written by the composers - their ‘handwriting’ being a window into their deeper consciousness. It is as if Beethoven, Bach, Brahms were all making art that is both visual and auditory.

Why the name Alba + Tross? I was struck by the fantastical fact that near the Hawaiian island of Oahu, 31% of Laysan albatross pairs are same sex couples. In other words, these remarkable birds aren’t “straight” or “lesbians” or any such thing. They’re just birds. Like Jody and me: Alba + Tross.
